چکیده
BACKGROUND: Management of the airway in patients undergoing surgery is increasingly difficult. The management operating room terms initial action anesthesia very important. Video-laryngoscopy has been shown to provide a better view larynx’s structure compared direct visualization. AIM: We describe our experience using custom made and inexpensive tool for video-laryngoscopy. METHODS: This an experimental research with single randomized clinical trial conducted at Anesthesiology Department Sanglah General Hospital Denpasar. There were 270 divides into three group conventional, O-Mac® Mc-GRATH™ BF laryngoscope, aged 18–65 years old, Mallampati grade 1–2, randomly selected, signed informed consent. RESULTS: Intubation time fastest median 26 (15–36) s, p = 0.000. Laryngoscopy 5.5 (2–13 s), does not use many tools, All did produce tissue damage results 0.007. Hemodynamic changes CONCLUSION: superior laryngoscope intubation blade same level safety as patented Mc-GRATH ™ video than conventional laryngoscopes.

Comparison of the C-MAC video laryngoscope to the Macintosh laryngoscope for intubation of blunt trauma patients in the ED
OBJECTIVES We aimed to compare the performance of the C-MAC video laryngoscope (C-MAC) to the Macintosh laryngoscope for intubation of blunt trauma patients in the ED. MATERIAL AND METHODS This was a prospective randomized study. The primary outcome measure is overall successful intubation. Secondary outcome measures are first attempt successful intubation, Cormack-Lehane (CL) grade, and indi...
متن کاملA comparison of the C-MAC video laryngoscope to the Macintosh direct laryngoscope for intubation in the emergency department.
STUDY OBJECTIVE We determine the proportion of successful intubations with the C-MAC video laryngoscope (C-MAC) compared with the direct laryngoscope in emergency department (ED) intubations. METHODS This was a retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data entered into a continuous quality improvement database during a 28-month period in an academic ED. After each intubation, the ope...

INTRODUCTION Endotracheal intubation in the ICU is a challenging procedure and is frequently associated with life-threatening complications. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the C-MAC® video laryngoscope on laryngeal view and intubation success compared with direct laryngoscopy. METHODS In a single-center, prospective, comparative before-after study in an anesthetist-lea...

OBJECTIVES Early airway management is very important for severely ill patients. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of face to face intubation in four different types of laryngoscopes (Macintosh laryngoscope, Pentax airway scope (AWS), Glidescope video laryngoscope (GVL), and C-MAC video laryngoscope (C-MAC)). METHOD Ninety-five nurses and emergency medical technicians were trained t...

Background & Objective: The induction of anesthesia, laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation can be associated with adverse hemodynamic response and increased intraocular pressure. The aim of this study was to evaluate intraocular pressure and hemodynamic changes after laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation with three methods of laryngoscopy (Macintosh, Maccoy and Video laryngoscope).Materia...
